METAL BRACES, Liverpool
Metal braces in Liverpool are by far the most popular type of braces for straightening teeth, as well as the most affordable!
They consist of metal brackets that are fitted to the front surface of your teeth and connected via a thin metal arch wire. Elastic bands then provide pressure to the arch wire to help straighten your teeth.
They are suitable for patients of all ages. Considering Metal Braces in Liverpool? You can book in for a scan and screen consultation to see if this treatment might be suitable for you!
CERAMIC BRACES
Ceramic braces are a more discrete version of traditional, fixed braces in Liverpool.
These are designed to blend more easily with your teeth thanks to their tooth-like colour, clear brackets and tooth-coloured wires. They’re the same size and shape as metal braces, but they’re less easily noticeable thanks to their design.
The discrete nature of these braces make them a great choice for people who may be worried about feeling self-conscious wearing traditional metal braces.
Ceramic braces in Liverpool can work to move teeth faster than clear aligners, meaning that achieving straighter teeth may not take as long as you might think. If you are interested in the ceramic option, come and have a chat with our Treatment Coordinator or our Specialist Orthodontist and find out if they’re right for you.

INVISALIGN
Invisalign is the perfect option for those who want straight teeth, but don’t want people to know they’re wearing braces. They’re incredibly discreet, can be easily removed and are custom-made so that they are comfortable to wear.
Your day-to-day life is barely affected as you can eat and drink what you like, and you won’t feel the need to hide your smile whilst chatting and socialising – just relax as they get to work to align your teeth! The smooth, plastic material makes them comfortable to wear and hard for others to detect.
Since your clear aligners are removable, it’s much easier to take care of your teeth. Just remove your trays when you are ready to brush and floss your teeth and then pop them back in when you have finished. The trays themselves can also be cleaned.
You could save time by opting for Invisalign as there are generally less Orthodontic appointments required. The results can be amazing and your newly straightened teeth can be a real boost to your confidence. Come and see us if you are interested in Invisalign and we can give you our best advice.

FAQS Video
Dr. Aoife Monk answers key questions regarding Orthodontics and braces – including “Do braces hurt? Why seeing a Specialist Orthodontist is important, and how long treatment usually takes.
FAQS
The treatment length is entirely dependent on the natural position of your teeth, and how much movement they need to align them. Your dentist will be able to give you an estimated length of time in your first consultation.
Thanks to modern, smaller designs of braces it’s unlikely that you’ll feel any significant discomfort when you wear your braces. They can rub and feel tight when first fitted, but this will reduce over time.
If you want to ensure discreteness when wearing braces then Invisalign are going to be the best option for this. However they may not always be the most appropriate for more significant dental issues, and metal or ceramic braces could be the best option. Your dentist will be able to talk you through what’s available for your individual case when you book in for an appointment.
Metal braces are generally the most cost-effective option when it comes to straightening your teeth. However, because they’re the most noticeable type of braces, some patients find that additional investment in more discreet options such as Invisalign or Ceramic Braces is more desirable.
