Dr Rick, our Clinical Lead Dentist, graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2014 with Distinction in Restorative Dentistry. He was honoured to receive the Gilmour Prize in Restorative Dentistry for clinical and academic achievements. In addition- gaining a British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) prize along with the prestigious University of Liverpool Raj Srivastava Prize in Professionalism. Rick has also successfully completed his Diploma of Membership exams for the Joint Dental Faculties Royal College of Surgeons England (MJDF RCS Eng).
Rick provides both Private and NHS dentistry and has experience providing both clear aligners and fixed short-term orthodontic brace treatments. His passion is providing the highest quality of care for his patients, enhancing smiles and making nervous patients feel at ease.
To provide you with the highest quality of care, Rick completed a 2-year Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry and was awarded a Distinction by his examiners. This allows him to provide you with treatment options at the forefront of dentistry utilising digital workflows.
As an appointed Educational Supervisor, Rick is involved in the training and mentoring of newly qualified dentists. To ensure the highest standards when educating others, Dr Rick completed a University Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in the Clinical Environment. In addition to this, Rick is also an active member of the Liverpool Local Dental Committee.
Back in 2017 Rick first completed Facial Aesthetics training at the Royal College of General Practitioners London. Further training and membership of the “Aesthetic Complications Expert Group” (ACE)- allows Rick to provide Facial Aesthetics treatment (anti-wrinkle injections/dermal filler) to achieve the best possible results, utilising the safest techniques for his patients. He is also the co-director of Aspire Aesthetics Training Academy; they train medical professionals to allow them to confidently and safely provide Facial Aesthetics treatments.
Outside of dentistry he is kept busy with his two young kids and his Beagle- Winston! A personal achievement was completing the infamous ‘Tough Mudder’ course and looks forward to completing many more. Rick enjoys attempting to play golf and unwinding with a good box set!
